What we collect on TravelSavageLoop, why, and what you can do about it.

Last updated: July 27, 2026

This describes what the platform actually collects and does today, in plain language. It hasn't been reviewed by a privacy attorney yet - have one confirm it meets the requirements of every state/country you operate in (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) before launch, and fill in the real contact details marked below.

This policy covers the TravelSavageLoop website and member dashboard (the "Platform"). It explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you can control it.

Information we collect

When you register or use the Platform, we store:

Cookies & how you stay signed in

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. It's an httpOnly cookie containing a signed token, and it's not readable by page scripts or shared with advertisers. Anyone who visits a member's referral link also receives a separate, anonymous device cookie (not tied to any account or identity) used only to avoid counting the same visit twice toward that member's daily click-qualification total. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-party services

The Platform currently connects to:

The admin dashboard has an Integrations panel for connecting a payment processor, email provider, SMS provider, and travel booking provider. As of this writing none of those are live — when your admin connects one, this policy needs a line added naming that specific vendor and what it does with your data.

How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data storage & security

Account data is stored in a MongoDB database. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before storage. Access to the admin dashboard is role-restricted.

Your choices

You can update your password and notification preferences from your dashboard Settings page at any time. To request a copy or deletion of your data, contact us using the details below - the Platform doesn't yet have a self-service export/delete button, so this is handled manually for now.

Children

The Platform is intended for adults. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.

International members

TravelSavageLoop is built for a global audience. If you use the Platform from outside the country where our servers are hosted, your information will be transferred to and processed there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Platform changes. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
